Ok so here is the deal with me this week….first thanks for joining me on my fave post day it’s my Stylist Journal Day for those who are new followers…but here is where I finally get to speak my mind of what I hate, love, dying over, or just anything I feel that can express a bit more about me since you follow me I want you to know me! So here it is…today I am in the kick to keep going with all my DIY moments. First I am messing around with my house design and you all know how that is…but I finally got some of the colors down. So more to come on that…but I have been in the kick to make some cool elements to my clothes. You can do this in like 20 mins too! So fun you have to try it for fall. Just taking your everyday cardigans and make it look more like a Free People 125.00 shirt….so fun by just adding patches or just some old dolies. Check it out and start gluing or hand sewing…enjoy and thanks for walking with me…ohhhhh also I am in a Vintage Kick right now and adding elements so one of my new fave stores around town that has always delivered…?? Savors! Savors opened by me this month in S. Jordan, Utah and there is nothing better then finding some gems and boy did they have a ton! So check it out….some of the prize items I left with that night to inspire me.
I found at the opening of Savors some great finds like 3 awesome vintage patterns I want to try to change up a bit…and awesome fabric that were curtains but I will use for a dress and then a cool old vintage Vogue sewing book! That was my fave find there that night. Cool old vintage books can not be beat! So cool and I love reading new ways to figure out design better. Plus so cute on my book shelf or coffee table. What’s better then that? Try to always get some cool old things in your home that inspire you and have a story to tell. Makes your home that much more special.
Then new Savors in S. Jordan, Utah had such a amazing selection of bags….here is the thing you have to think out of the box here…sometimes it’s just cut and dry and you can buy something you never want to cut up…then there are the moments you think out of the box of what you could use a amazing bag for…like the leather to make a new i phone case or I pad case that’s totally unique or to use for cool fabric to make a clutch or anything really. So find something you can create and make a cool unique design with…
Ok and one of the best things is the jewelry! Yes…omg let me just tell you…some of my fave pieces came from Vintage Stores…and Savor’s in S. Jordan Utah brand new store…did not fall short! They had some awesome things check it out in this photo above….and the great thing is some have cool pendants you can take off and remake and make more modern and I tell you to add vintage with modern makes up for a fab piece that makes for some real head turners…..so get to savors and start getting yourself some real gems.
NOW TO THE MAKING….DIY IT! TRY THESE AFTER YOUR SHOPPING AT SAVORS THRIFT SHOP….
PLAIN CARDIGAN JUST ADD SOME AMAZING FABRIC OR LACE OR WHAT EVER TO GET THAT YUMMY FREE PEOPLE VIBE ….YOU CAN USE FABRIC GLUE OR I USED A NEEDLE AND THREAD AND JUST HAND SEWED IT ON SO IT STAYED…SO FUN AND DIFFERENT AND TOOK ME 20 MINS. NEED TO TRY SO EASY! .
ONE NEEDLE AND ONE COLOR OF WHITE THREAD OR ANY COLOR YOU WANT TO USE TO MAKE IT UNIQUE AND IT UP AND DOWN THROW THE LACE JUST HOLDS IT RIGHT ONE SUPER SIMPLE….AND HERE IS THE FINISHED PRODUCT..
HERE YOU GO NOTHING TOO IT …TOTALLY MY PERSONAL STYLE AND MADE IT LOOK MORE FUN AND FUNKY…SO CUTE AND COST ME 8.00 for the boyfriend cardigan. Love!

Cute plaid plain shirt….just again you can sew these patches on?? Or you can use fabric glue if your now a sewer. …the imperfections really make it that much better..don’t stress of perfect lines ect….
Done!! Ok so I love this one sooooo much…really cute for fall and makes it so much more expensive looking and unique. You are in for a treat when you try this beacuse I alreay have worn and got lot’s for “where did you get that?” So have fun this fall create some cool unique wardrobe peices and this whole shirt cost me only 1.oo with string I used..and the fabric was extra laying around scraps so never throw away your scraps from a project because you never know what you are going to want to make later and need.
