How To Get Picnic Style From Head To Blanket..

It’s the middle of summer and what’s not the best thing to do on a warm summer day or evening? Picnic time! It’s for everyone. Either you have kids or you don’t but no matter what you will be having a picnic. Everyone loves Them! Now how to get just the right tips on making yours a bit more special this year with the right style from your clothes to your blanket. Here are some of my fave items this year to bring on your next stylish adventure.

Just the right color: Picnics are either fun or romantic or a bit of both…but what ever one your on think about your environment…if your on a date go ahead and break out the romantic dress but make sure it’s in that outdoors color pallet. Don’t be afraid to wear colors or some fun floral pattern. Your outside..enjoy it..don’t come out in blacks and grays just makes you seem like maybe you wanted to go see a movie instead. So go bold with patterns and color at the park this summer.

Just the right length: Ok so everyone always wants to rock the little dress for the picnics because that is what we see in photos. Now if your going with the kids..please don’t rock the little skirts and dresses..mommy’s need to wrestle with the kids and we all don’t want to see anything but happy families not some mom’s butt hanging out! Then if you say …well I love only wearing dresses then do a maxi long dress that way you can have more coverage for fun run around times. If your on a date then it’s fine for the little dress but please remember you have one on and you are sitting on a blanket on the floor so cross those legs on UP!

Shoes: Always a sandal..flip flop you can throw off and feel the cool grass on your feet. No Heels you will just sink in the grass and look like a mess. Also a great cute flat is always sweet to wear and I love a oxford for the picnic adventures.

Blanket Style: There are so many blankets….please bring the style in your items too….don’t bring your kids blanket with crap on it or one that is just crappy and has stains on it..really let your style shine on your blanket because that is the main focus. It’s your staple at that park…let your personality shine through your blanket. Get creative. I found this amazing tutorial on making your own PIcnic blanket you have to learn..and there are some other cute ideas for blankets and making it real functional. DIY your own blanket or I love this one from Ikea…

Make this from a paint canvas from Home Depot…..all you need is paint and blue painters tape and here you go. I love this idea. Try it!

Carry it like a purse….your cute blanket! I loved the idea above this photo but didn’t have time to order it before my TV show so I just made my straps out of old trim and buttons and made a strap! DIY your own too…so easy made it in 20 mins. ….

I picked up my cute stripe blanket from Ikea...love that place only 19 bucks and super large! Great for a fun picnic….

Dish ware fashion: If we all go to the park we know we are going to want to eat at our picnic…I mean that is the best part right? So why not really impress your friends and have some cute fashions for your dish ware. So check out these cute little fabric holders for all those forks and knives. I decided to make my own…check it out and get inspired for your next stylish Picnic adventure. Also side note…these make a great gift idea too…thinking of doing these for the neighbors for christmas….shhhhh

Basket Style: Ok hands down you have to get this right..perfect tote to carry your stylish goods. I love this basket/bag/cooler from Igloo amazing cute and just perfect for picnics and much more..Get them from Costco and love them.
