How to wear coats is always tricky! You don’t want to look to big nor do you want to be freezing so how do you balance the two?? Well today on my ABC4 fashion segment I talk about how to balance your body with your coat…also what coats should you be rocking this winter?? Well you can watch the full episode here! Or read below….but not matter what girls we all know we hate to be cold so bundle up the chic way!
Ok so here is my thoughts on coats this year. Always want a trench! Camel is the new Black,,,so remember that! Also patterns and colors in your coats this year are a must. But that being said if you feel like when you zip up your jacket or button it then it will make you look larger? Then don’t go with patterns or colors that will make you feel like a giant art project. Be smart about what you want to highlight and what you don’t. IF you already feel bigger then don’t go with a big puffy coat …this will only highlight the problem. Go with a thiner darker coat. Only spend a ton of money on coats that will last you more then two years! IF it’s not ….then go with a more fashion forward approach. Just over all smart coat buying.
Thanks to all my models today! I wanted to show case everyday coats you can just throw on to run to the grocery store with kids, to a yummy trench coat that will work with your work skirt to a date night to add instant chic and warmth. All of these coats are from Target all recent buys in store. The double breasted one is divine and mixes two elements that I love, a Little edge with the double button classic. A must! All great under 40.00! Now go cuddle up and get warm and chic. Click here to buy at Target.
Target Style!! I am obsessed with these two pieces from Target right now. They have really gone super chic and tons of stuff to play with! I would like to say I am one happy girl with this blouse and comfy knit leopard skirt from Target right now you all must have!
Your coat tip….IF you don’t like your center and want to show case your legs more….then go with a short cut length coat. Shows your legs and there is no tie around that tummy! When you tie a waist band around a tummy should only complement your body not show case what you hate! If your more lean and tall then rock those longer length coats with a heel you will look so tall chic you will have to go somewhere fancy!
