1. Go with a bold dress to impress. Look at some fun colors for your dress now that it’s spring and summer

2. If it’s a dress that everyone will have because it’s from a popular store add your own unique touch to it. Do not buy it because you think everyone else will have it…change it up and make it your own. Feel like you when you are getting dressed. You look how you feel. Remember that.

3. Biggest most important point on sunday style don’t over do or make it trashy! Sunday style is supposed to inspire you to feel and look your best. When your best is hanging out the bottom of your skirt then you have it all wrong. Be a lady and be beautiful. The whole point on Sunday Style is to dress to impress and feel light and beautiful.

So this Sunday if your going to church or out to a fun brunch shopping date, try to dress your best and feel beautiful on the inside as well as the outside.  So here are some of my most visited looks:

It’s beginning to feel like summer….so what does that mean?? Maxi dresses calling our names! I love a good maxi through out summer time. They bring such a fun easy way to look stylish. Best part you can dress them up or down so this is something you want to pack for those summer Vacations because you can wear them many different ways. So go get some easy fun dresses and your all set. One of my most favorite places to shop for Maxi dresses is City Creek….they have to much to offer right now. Maxi heaven.

3 DIFFERENT WAYS TO ROCK YOUR MAXI THIS SPRING. 

1. Dress it down:  Throw a T shirt on top to make it look like your own creation. I love this, get creative. Use a baggy t shirt not a tight one! If you use tight it just won’t look right and bulge at the bottom. Throw on some tennis shoes and your super funky, fun, and ready for that summer concert.

2. Dress it up: Dress it up with some heels or wedges are my fave. Throw up some bold,  gold,  jewelry and a blazer or collared shirt and next thing you know your ready for a hot date or a day at the office. Love this for a office pick to night. Where with blazer to office take off for dinner and drinks later that night. All set and classic and clean.

3. Layer it up: Sounds weird for summer? Well I love to take a longer t shirt and layer it or take a way oversized cape and have it flowing with the dress itself. This is a statement that can be more visually known as bo ho and I can’t get enough of it. This is where you throw on some sandals big hat and call it a day. You have got your shopping summer outfit with lunch on the patio with some friends. A maxi has never looked so good.

Remember a Maxi dress is a great investment for summer time. If you feel like your too short to wear one?? Well your not!! Go for some major wedges or heels to add height or tie up in a knot on the side at the bottom of the dress and your ready to go. Maxi’s are made for all of us, and all body shapes. Ok everyone spring shopping is in the air! So this means we want to shop but get the most out of our time and our money. So today I have come up with some easy tips for some amazing shopping to get the best spring wardrobe possible. So sit back take notes and listen to some fun tips I live by

Shop like a Champ! 

1. Inspiration: like anything it’s always best to set a game plan in order to be successful. So you start by trying to understand what you are loving, start following fashion blogs, fashion pintrest boards, and all your favorites on instagram. Find what you are really diving in for this spring. Then write down where they are from then set off with a game plan of where you want to go to buy those looks.

2. Shopping list: Go with a purpose. You want to find which trends you must have then take an inventory of your wardrobe to set what you’re looking for when you shop. By doing this you will be able to not come home with the same grey or black shirt in your closet. You can add depth and volume in your closet. This step helps with returning later after buying which I hate to do.

3. Budget: Personal budget is going to be different for everyone. So set your budget and this will help with the after stress and over spending. If you are only gong to be wearing this shirt once or twice then go cheap. Don’t spend a ton of these items you will not wear often. Go cheap if that is the case. Head to forever 21 for the trends and this way your investment is not huge so you can save  on trendy.  Things I spend money on are jeans, and shoes. These items are all about fit and I spend more of things that will feel great on my feet and fit like a glove on my bum. If it makes me look smaller I am in. Extra money is approved.

4. Try it On Tips:

1. Stay away from pockets that look like the size of a cookie on your bum. Smaller is not better. Pocket needs to be almost covering your whole bum.

2. Jeans will stretch half-size to a whole size. So when trying on go tight! where you’re a little uncomfortable.

3. Don’t worry about the number size on the tag, go for the fit. Don’t sacrifice a fit for a size.

4. If you are trying to hide flaws, then don’t buy bling, or fat stitching  and or light wash in these areas you are trying to hide unwanted areas. Stay sleek with dark wash and clean pockets.

5. Do a bend over test in dressing room with dresses. Don’t need you looking like a hot mess when you bend over to pick up your keys.

6. Lighting is key! Go outside dressing room for natural or extra lighting to see how things are truly fitting.

7. Pack some sugar in your purse. Trying clothes on is beyond tiring. You don’t want to make a big mistake because you had low blood sugar and now your stuck with some low-cut jeans that push out love handles. No! So pack some sugar and stay on top of that tired soul of yours.

8. Go light on make up. You don’t want to ruin clothing by getting make up stains all over them. So leave red-hot lip stick at  home and go for a light lip gloss or chap stick.

9. Light on jewelry. Sometimes jewelry can make or break an outfit. This time is not to have statement pieces your wearing while trying on. So keep it light.

Ok everyone now go be happy shoppers with some confidence and some candy! Take that Action Plan on…..and build those much wanted wardobe closets you have always wanted. I heart you all.

3. Fun Different Accessories: I love to say to get some great new sunglasses to change the way you look on your face. That’s a statement. Also some fun new belts that only cost like 3-5 dollars each. Hair bands? Clips? Necklaces of course change the whole look of your outfit and even make up. Fresh it up with a new lip!

As you all know I have 3 wonderful boys and 1 little cute girl. I am honored to be their mom and each day I wake up thanking I got such an awesome little family who are healthy and strong and can be in my life! I cherish each day I have with them. Ok so I will make this short and sweet. The other day my cute new Sales Manager was rocking some way fun T-shirts. But her job is to always be in front of the showroom and helping new stylist find what they need, and so I said “I don’t care if you wear a T-shirt, just dress it up!” So she said “Well what do you mean?” So here we go…..girls who want to learn how to wear your fun, spring t-shirts that have been tucked away for a while in those winter days?? Well here you go! Some of the ways I love to dress up a T-shirt. Short and simple and now you can wear to the office and look like a fun, stylish, and successful employee.

Rules, How to dress it up:

Always pair with a skirt.When you want to have a definite go to, get a nice pencil skirt throw on a cardigan or blazer and your ready, hot, and look like something a bit more spicier for the office that day. No more old blouse with a boring expected, now you can turn heads and be more like yourself in your comfy tee.

Dress it up with a blouse. So I have been seeing this trend now for a couple of years…..but I must say I am a fan! I love how you can wear the t-shirt with the blouse underneath! All of a sudden you have now turned a t-shirt into an unexpected master piece for work or a fun lunch in meeting that you want to stand out for. I like to always pair mine with some fun wide leg pants either jeans or some trousers. Rule for me though…to keep it classy always stay with a dark wash wide leg if you go with jeans, and if it’s trouser your safe with anything. Color or pattern just wear with confidence.

Dress it up with Trousers: Go for some wide leg classic clean wide leg trousers or even pegged or rolled up with a sassy heel. Screams must have! Also you can wear with flats but if you do this make sure you wear some awesome accessories to go with.

Dress it up with the Jewels: 100% you want to dress up with accessories. Makes a boring old t-shirt make some serious sparkle. Dresses it right up enough said. Vintage inspired Sunglasses: My most fave trend ever the 1990′s inspired sunglasses. I feel like these semi round glasses are making a big splash on the trend this spring. They come in many colors and you know I am a collector of sunglasses and because I have many children I don’t spend a ton on sunglasses so I go for the forever 21 fun colored sunglasses. So if you feel free and adventurous try these new looks out for a try!

Spring Scarfs: Pull out the light weight scarves and have some fun adding the latest new spring colors and patterns in such a fun chic way. Have fun tieing it up around your neck, using it for a swimsuit coverup, and as a head scarf as you hike or go boating. Scarves are a must have! You need to get creative with your scarves and really let yourself not get stuck in a dark bland color. Go bold with your scarf because that is what you should be styling around. Love these ones for spring time!
