Falling For Polka Dots In Fall….

The classic polka dot pattern is back in a big way. The pattern, made famous by Mini Mouse , is showing up on everything from hats and dresses, to underwear and umbrellas. Which means, for those of you who are pattern-shy, there is an easy way for you to incorporate them into your wardrobe too! No need to mix patterns if you don’t feel like it; these hot spots look great on their own. If your ready here are some fun ideas on how to baby step it to full polka dot madness.

Accessories First:

The main rule says never to match many pieces with dots unless you want to turn your outfit into a great fiasco. A dress, a skirt, a shirt or a blazer can be enough. If you are totally convinced that you are ready to wear polka dots, start by choosing only one accessory such as a scarf, a belt, a handbag and even shoes. So many to choose from right now you are sure to get it right.

Full Dress:

Sometimes people are afraid to try this big bold all over dress but I like to say if you go big go big. Sometimes a all over look makes it easier to try then trying to mix and match your polka dots if your not a pro. So buy a dress through on a blazer and wear it to work. There is a way to look classic in this polka dot classic print. Keep everything else all plain to pull the look a classy one.

Top:

Baby Step it in a blouse which is my most fave this season. A blouse can add instant style to any jeans for a night out on a date or with friends. It can make a casual look be a effortless look. You will stylish and fun for fall. To go out on a night out on the town pull it in with a little black mini skirt. That is hot and sexy with a bit of taste along with it. So invest in the blouse

Bottoms:

Right now there are skirts and pants left and right including jeans and jeggings. My fave is some cute polka dot trousers. If you do this keep it simple and clean on top. Makes your look not so youthful and stressful. If you are keeping it clean of pattern on top then you are ready to wear on the bottom.

Cardigan:

Polka dot sweaters are red hot for fall. But if your not willing to try the print then go with the cut out sweaters that are polka dots without really committing to the print. Your set to ease your way with out really wearing polka dots. Love cut out hole sweaters so cute and different ads warmth with a bit of a breeze to go with it.

Fall is coming get prepared and go get these main fall statement prints that you can’t live without. Polka Dots are one of them.

Rap Up Summer Style  

We took advantage of the warm weather to shed those winter sweaters, socks and coats in favor of floral dresses, skirts, shorts and sandals. To feel confident in our own skin, and we loved to highlight our favorite features; choose styles we enjoyed wearing to let our inner beauty and creative fashion sense shine. Now what where the looks we can wear one more time before it’s too late?….

Pair Solids with Prints

A classic look is a solid v-neck tee paired with a floral or printed skirt; tuck in the top to highlight or create an hourglass figure. Add a pair of nude heels to elongate the legs and create the illusion of height. Finally, accessorize with some sparkly bangles, a pendant necklace or a pair of dangling earrings. To convert daywear to evening wear, switch to a dark skirt or pair of jeans, bold colored heels, and bright jewelry.

Beachwear

Maxi dresses are very popular to throw over your bathing suit on your way to the beach or the pool. This floor-length dress is usually available in a variety of bright, summer colors and creates a flowing and feminine look. You can wear it with a pair of flat strappy sandals or flip-flops and a beach tote for your sunblock, towel and extra set of clothes.

  Shoes

The right pair of shoes can make any ordinary outfit look stylish and glamorous while highlighting your legs. Every girl should invest in a pair of nude, peep toe or closed toe heels because they can be paired with virtually any outfit. Skin-colored shoes create the illusion of elongating the legs while also adding height. Another essential is a pair of black, strappy heels because again, they go with just about any outfit. But don’t be afraid to be bold and daring with prints and color this summer either. Jazz up your look and be versatile in your style—neons are a very popular colors this season so go bold!

Accessories

are an easy and inexpensive way to update your existing clothing to create a temporary summer look. Keep an eye out for floral patterns for summer including scarves, headbands, earrings, bangles and necklaces. Just remember to pair only one or two pieces of jewelry with any outfit.   The most important tip to remember this last bit of summer is to feel confident in your own skin because this is the most important fashion trend. You can do this by choosing clothes and items you enjoy wearing and highlighting the features you love most about yourself. Don’t be afraid to try new styles while incorporating the essentials, such as shoes and jewelry, into your existing wardrobe.

Falling in love with leggings at any age!

Falling in love with leggings this fall at every age!

To look good in leggings, it’s important to choose garments and shoes that work well with them, and to know that there are do’s and don’ts to be aware of. You should also consider how they are best used by women of different shapes and age groups. If you haven’t worn leggings recently, or aren’t sure if you are wearing them the right way, well listen up because I have some do’s and don’t you may want to follow…

First things first I don’t care what age you are at or your size..you can be a size 0 and I am going to say the same thing to you….LEGGINGS ARE NOT PANTS! Ok I got it out there…hope your listening. Even though they are technically a type of pant, they are not designed to be worn in this manner, and leave almost nothing to the imagination when worn alone..basically it looks like your going to the gym or your underwear line or lack of his fighting with your own personal style. Just a plain NO NO!

1.Ladies associated with 40, 50 as well as older you may also put on leggings with a middle length tunic or top (simply over knee duration) in a simple, calm style. These fully trust the pattern or perhaps a print however absolutely nothing as well busy or even outrageous, simple colors perform best. Tunic dresses look great for this ensemble and give a casual day time look when combined with smooth dolly shoes; if you are putting on long sleeves, why don’t you add a buckle to intensify a gorgeous figure. No matter what age this can look like a pulled together clean classy look and not fearful of the youth factor involved.

2.30’s plus you know you have the in between looks but to be careful with throwing on some black leggings/tiny mini skirt and knee high boots…NO NO this can not be happening!! I don’t want to see that hot mess pushing a stroller down the street…now that being said if your mid 30’s going out on the town late night with the ladies…then by all means go right ahead..but if your a working girl or mom with some babes then try to tone it down a bit to the classy causal side of things but rock it all trendy! You can pull it off so get comfy with your leggings and try a print with a long tunic and scarf and some cute riding boots! Love this look…

3.20’s there is really nothing to be said! You can just look up any blog or magazine and have the best trends at your finger tips. You can rock the minis at anytime of day or the short shorts as well and get away with it all. You just need to know how to make your color pallets work for fall and be chic and fun in your hot fall leggings. Go wild with all the new prints on leggings and sheens…what ever it is rock it with confidence and your golden.

Fall is one of my most favorite moments in fashion…the new fall issues of magazines come out!! So excited about that and you just can feel the air getting cooler and more fashion yummy in the air. One of the top items I live in are leggings…don’t feel like they are not for you…because they are! You need to understand balance and the way colors are going to highlight your best parts. So try to go classic and funky all the way with the new options in leggings out there. There are so many and you just need to understand balance.
